Truck Hauling Insulation On The Road Again

This truck was hauling insulation and it caught fire. The driver noticed the fire while looking into his mirror, so pulled over at the next exit. The local fire department was called and put out the fire but all the insulation was pulled out onto the ground because the fire department needed to be sure no hot spots were still burning and then the insulation had to be cleaned up. Although it appeared the insulation was no longer hot, it can, potentially, smolder for days and only need to touch flammable material in order to burn.  This job was also a biohazard cleanup due to the insulation.

SERVPRO of Greeley/Windsor was called on site to clean up the damaged materials.  Not only did SERVPRO remove all the insulation, but also removed all the smoke damage by cleaning the entire cab of the truck.  The customer commented he was very impressed by our SERVPRO technician’s professionalism and promptness as he had to get back on the road.
